Process Piping Contractor Services
From new installation to emergency repair, Buckeye works to code and keeps your facility moving.
When a process line goes down, the cost isn’t just the repair. It’s every hour of production lost while you’re searching for someone who actually knows what they’re doing. Buckeye has built its reputation on being the contractor that shows up prepared. In process piping, that means working to ASME B31.3 and B31.1 code standards, understanding the inspection and testing requirements before the first weld is laid, and self-performing installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection with our own UA21 and U5 certified union crews.
From new installations to turnarounds, repairs, and ongoing system modifications, Buckeye supports every stage of your process piping lifecycle. Our union crews self-perform the work from planning and fabrication through installation, testing, and project closeout, providing consistent quality and seamless coordination throughout.

Our process piping work runs heaviest in the industries where code, pressure, and safety standards are highest. Buckeye has built our reputation in environments where a failed weld or a missed inspection has real consequences, and our crews carry the certifications and field experience to match.
We install carbon steel, chrome-moly, and alloy piping for high-pressure, sour service, and refinery process systems.
Buckeye works with carbon steel and high-temperature alloy piping for utility, process, and high-heat mill applications.
We fabricate and install sanitary stainless with hygienic weld standards for 3-A compliant food processing and cold storage systems.
We begin every project by thoroughly reviewing the print requirements, specifications, and project scope with our customer to ensure everyone is aligned from the start.
What’s the difference between process piping and plumbing?
Process piping carries fluids that are part of a facility’s industrial operations: chemicals, gases, oil, steam, and slurry in refineries, mills, and processing plants. Plumbing handles potable water, sanitary drainage, and facility utilities. The code requirements, pressure ratings, and safety standards involved in process piping are significantly more demanding than commercial plumbing. Buckeye handles both, but they’re separate scopes and neither substitutes for the other.
How does Buckeye handle emergency process piping repairs?
Process line failures demand immediate action. Buckeye responds with in-house crews, eliminating delays associated with subcontractor coordination. Our licensed and certified professionals are equipped to perform code-compliant welding, piping repairs, and emergency inspections across the tri-state region. PM customers receive priority emergency response, while additional emergency service is available to commercial and industrial facilities.
Should I use the same contractor for pipe fabrication and process piping installation?
Using the same contractor for both eliminates the handoff risk that causes most project delays and quality gaps. When the crew installing the pipe is connected to the shop that fabricated it, questions about fit, tolerances, and field adjustments get resolved immediately rather than through a back-and-forth between two companies. Buckeye operates both in-house, which means one accountable contractor from fabrication through installation.
What causes most process piping failures in industrial facilities?
Most failures trace back to corrosion, improper installation, inadequate inspection schedules, or deferred maintenance on systems showing early signs of wear. Process piping contractors who don’t document their work make all of these problems harder to diagnose because there’s no baseline record of what was done or to what standard. Buckeye closes every job with a complete report so your team has documented history on every system we’ve touched.
What does a process piping turnaround involve?
A turnaround is a planned shutdown where a facility takes process systems offline for maintenance, inspection, repair, and upgrades. For Buckeye, that means mobilizing quickly to maximize the available window, working through inspection and repair on a compressed schedule, and getting systems back online before the turnaround ends. We handle process piping, welding, and NDT during turnarounds, and our crews are experienced in the safety and coordination requirements these projects involve.
